Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) Evaluations include an on‐site or remote assessment. During this assessment, evaluators will meet with the team, observe and then evaluate the student to assist the team in determining what augmentative or alternative supports will best meet the student’s communication needs. This includes trialing appropriate AAC supports (low, mid or high tech). This evaluation includes a written report and team meeting attendance to review assessment findings.
Assistive Technology (AT) Evaluations include an on‐site or remote assessment. During this assessment, evaluators will meet with the team, observe and then evaluate the student to assist the team in determining what assistive technology supports will best meet the student’s academic needs while accessing the curriculum. This includes trialing AT tools as appropriate. This evaluation includes a written report and team meeting attendance to review assessment findings.
AAC or AT Consultations may include an observation and meeting with the educational team on-site or remotely. Recommendations and support specific to the student’s AAC or academic needs will be provided.
