Counseling Centers
Mass 211 Call Center for
Information and Referral
- serves as a resource for finding government benefits
and services, non-profit organizations, support groups,
volunteer opportunities, donation programs, and other
local resources. Available Monday - Friday from 8am to

A Citizen’s Guide to Massachusetts
State Services - This guide contains
information about state services, agencies, and contact
points. You can find services arranged by broad subject
headings in the listings below, or search for specific
words, or use the index.
The Family Resource Database
- contains information about agencies in Massachusetts
and throughout the United States which provide
information and/or services to families. The database is
divided into many categories as well as cross-referenced
by age group and regions in Massachusetts where
applicable. The database contains hundreds of agencies
and will continue to grow, so use it whenever you are
looking for help.
Mass Advocates for Children
- is a referral source for parents and educators. We
provide help for children who are facing barriers to
receiving educational services to which they are legally
entitled. Our priority populations are children with
disabilities, homeless children, children who have been
expelled or suspended from school, and children who are
victims of or have witnessed domestic violence. We can
give you advice over the phone, referrals for further
advocacy or services, or, for low-income families, in
some instances direct representation from our staff or
referral to a pro-bono attorney or advocate. Please call

Psychiatry 24x7.com
- round the clock resources for psychiatry. This
resource database contains information about diagnoses
and medications, and is divided into many categories as
well as cross-referenced by age group.
The Massachusetts Alateen and
Al-Anon Website - The primary purpose of
Al-Anon/Alateen is to help families and friends of
alcoholics. Alateen is part of Al-Anon and is for young
people affected by another's drinking. Members of
Al-Anon/Alateen learn to live happily whether the
alcoholic continues to drink or not. We learn that
alcoholism is a disease and that we are not alone. By
putting the focus on ourselves, we begin to reclaim our
lives.
Massachusetts Substance Abuse
Helpline - provides free and confidential
information and referrals for alcohol and other drug
abuse problems and related concerns. The Helpline is
committed to linking consumers with comprehensive,
accurate, and current information about treatment and
prevention services throughout Massachusetts.
