About the MBCIA

The Massachusetts Building Commissioners and Inspectors Association, Incorporated (MBCIA) is a statewide association of Building Officials and has been in existence since 1939.

The primary purpose of the MBCIA is to provide educational opportunities to and watch out for the well being of Massachusetts Building Officials. We also work in the writing, supporting or in the opposition of legislation and regulation both locally and nationally that effect the built environment.

We encourage Massachusetts Building Officials to join our ranks as ACTIVE MEMBERS.

As an ACTIVE MEMBER, you are entitled to receive a copy of our monthly newsletter, “The BluePrint ©”, Notification of monthly educational meetings on construction and land use topics that are invaluable to you in your administration of building codes and zoning regulations, participation at educational meetings at low members prices, scholarship opportunities, membership in Association sub-committees, email notification of timely issues related to construction and development that are crucial to your success as a code official, voting privileges at annual or special meetings and a opportunity to get to know the building officials from other Massachusetts communities on a personal basis.

Our ACTIVE MEMBERS realize the many benefits of being a member of the MBCIA on a daily basis.
